Export-Quality Cabinets at Half the Cost
At Glenn Furniture, we provide firm written quotes so you know exactly what your order will cost before production begins. Once quoted, your price holds until the day of shipping—no surprises. In 20+ years of exporting, we’ve never had to change a customer’s confirmed price.
By combining Indonesian craftsmanship with Western quality standards, our clients typically pay about half the cost of similar cabinets purchased in the USA, Europe, or Australia—even after freight. We bill shipping at actual cost only, with no markups.
Why choose Glenn instead of going directly to a local factory? Because we know what Western buyers expect. With decades of experience bridging cultural and quality gaps, we ensure your cabinets arrive built right, built strong, and built to last.
Clear Pricing and Commitment
As an American, I understand the importance of having a firm written quote and a clear agreement. When you place your order, you’ll receive a fixed price in writing. That price will not change up to the day of shipping when your final payment is due. In over 20 years of doing this, I’ve never had a customer face unexpected price changes once a quote was issued.
From past experience, your total cost (product + shipping) will usually be about half the price of similar products sold locally in the USA, Europe, or Australia. These have been our main destinations for the last two decades.
Once we receive your drawings, I can provide you with a firm production quote. Shipping is billed separately at actual cost only, based on ocean freight and export fees at the time of shipment.
Why Work With Glenn?
It’s true—many Indonesian factories are online and can quote much cheaper prices. But here’s the difference:
- Quality: Glenn prioritizes repeat business and delivers export-quality craftsmanship.
- Cultural Fit: After 20+ years, Glenn understands what American and Western buyers expect.
- Reliability: Many buyers who tried to go direct have told horror stories. Glenn bridges the cultural and business gap so your order arrives as promised.
How U.S. Cabinet Pricing Compares
In the USA, kitchen cabinet prices range as follows:
- Stock cabinets: $100–$300 per linear foot
- Semi-custom cabinets: $300–$600 per linear foot
- Custom cabinets: $600–$1,200+ per linear foot
Prices vary based on material, design, brand, features (soft-close, pull-outs), and installation. By comparison, our export pricing generally lands at about half these numbers, even after freight.
Why I Don’t Post Prices
International trade is affected by politics, world events, tariffs, and even weather. Prices can shift overnight in ways local buyers don’t often see. To account for this, I add:
- 10% expertise margin
- 5% buffer (“surprise margin”)
This protects both sides. Unless there’s a major world event (natural disaster, war, or new tariffs), your written quote will stand firm until shipping.
Primary Options That Affect Price
- Drawer Glides: Blum glides are about $30 each. Cheaper ones are around $5 each, but they don’t last.
- Wood Type: Teak costs about double the price of Mahogany.
- Other Materials/Hardware: Many cheaper options exist, but Glenn does not recommend cutting corners on core quality.
How Pricing Is Calculated
Export Price = Cost of Production + Export Costs + Profit Margin (10% + 5% buffer)
1. Cost of Production
- Materials: Wood, hardware, finishes
- Labor: Skilled woodworking wages
- Overhead: Rent, utilities, equipment, admin
- Exchange Rate: Fluctuates daily
2. Export Costs
- Export Duties/Taxes: As required by Indonesia
- Packaging: Crating and protection for ocean shipping
- Freight: Ocean transport, based on volume/destination
- Documentation: Certificates of origin, shipping papers
- Insurance: Covers goods during transit
3. Profit Margin
- Added for sustainability of the business and to ensure dependable service
👉 Bottom Line: With Glenn, you get Western-level communication and expectations, combined with Indonesian craftsmanship and pricing—often saving you 50% or more compared to buying locally.
